Project Manger

Position Description

  • Customer communications during project execution and system installation
  • Participating in planning and designing sessions with customer and engineering team to determine the scope and deliverables of each project
  • Developing and communicating with the development team the project strategy and plan needed to achieve the stated deliverables
  • Establishing and continually managing the role of each project team resource so that the project is logically conducted
  • Effectively coordinating the activities of the team to meet project deliverables and deadlines
  • Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential problems and taking actions to minimize issues
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against plan using appropriate tools
  • Tracking all issues and action items to closure
  • Traveling to customer sites as necessary in planning, execution and implementation phases
  • Continuing to improve project management processes and practices

Qualifications

  • BS in technical discipline such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Masters degree a plus 
  •  Minimum 10+ years of experience in computer/software development industry
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant project management / delivery experience in software related industries
  • Background in Distribution, Logistics and/or Manufacturing a plus
  • High level understanding of development environments such as .NET, C#, C++ and VB.NET
  • Ability to travel and interact with customers onsite
  • Team player attitude, strong attention to detail, high levels of organization
  • Solid communication skills and good rapport with developers, customers, sales team and senior managers 
  •  Focus both on quality of project deliverables AND customer results from the use of those deliverables
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects and prioritize schedule of self and team
  • High degree of personal accountability and responsibility

Technical Support Analyst

Lucas Systems, Inc. is currently looking for Technical Support Analysts, a key part of the Service and Support team.  The Technical Support Analyst will be exposed to a number of business units, including Sales Engineering, Project Management, QA, Development, and Installation and Training.  Exposure to a number of different technologies will allow the Support Analyst to fill organizational needs while enriching experience and skill levels.

Position Description

  • Act as Tier I support for customer calls; escalating and redirecting inquiries as necessary
  • Work with customers to specify, quote, and design customer product enhancements
  • Develop and implement customer product enhancements
  • Troubleshoot problems with customer systems
  • Trace and debug code as necessary for problem resolution
  • Provide database maintenance for customer sites
  • Design and build adaptations to current solutions to improve customer experiences
  • Provide periodic after hours helpline support via cell phone
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in IT, IS, MIS, or similar or possess equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field such as programming, customer support, or QA
  • Experience and practice in T-SQL (preferably MS SQL Server) with experience in writing and debugging stored procedures
  • General understanding of SQL Server 2000/2005 maintenance and basic administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, specifically 2000/2003 server and XP
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to relate to both high-level IT personnel and end users
  • Ability to travel (15-20%)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualification

  • Working knowledge of or debugging experience in Visual Basic 6, VB.NET, or C#.NET
  • Understanding of Microsoft IIS and FTP
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Source Safe and Team Foundation

 Lucas Systems, Inc. is currently looking for a Sales Account Managers with an entrepreneurial spirit to help grow our business.  The Sales Account Manager role is critical to the organization and interacts with all areas of our company.

Position Description

  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts within assigned territory or industries
  • Develop qualified prospect lists and produce accurate sales report
  • Conduct and manage the full range of sales activities of cold calling, lead generation, customer presentation, proposal generation, terms negotiation, and close
  • Negotiate and close large, fixed price contracts involving the delivery of software, equipment, and services
  • Maintain exceptional post implementation customer relationships through regular communication to monitor satisfaction and identify add-on sales opportunities
  • Work with Engineering/Development to define product improvements and new solutions
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  Proven track record of successfully selling into Distribution (Warehouse) / Manufacturing industries – or – large software / solution systems sales at the VP level or higher (This must be demonstrated as a part of the interview process)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical or solution based sales
  • Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales quota
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Logistics, or significant and relevant work experience in addition to a different degree
  • Ability to travel as needed to conduct sales activities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in distribution, logistics or manufacturing (preferred)

  • Contribute to system architecture design and implementation
  • Assist in creating system specifications, system installation and customer training as required

Minimum Qualifications

  •  BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (significant and relevant work experience coupled with a differing degree will be considered)
  • Five-plus years software engineering experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft’s .NET Framework, C#, and C/C++
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to be attentive to details
